BECOME A HOST HOME
The Host Home Program matches homeless youth in need of housing with volunteers in the community. Those volunteers open their heart and home to provide housing, food, and mentorship to help the young adult achieve their goals.

Authorize background check

Schedule simple home inspection

Arrange to meet the youth

Sign contract

Youth moves in

Receive bi-weekly stipend payments & ongoing support from Staircase professionals

WHAT ARE THE RISKS?
Staircase staff works to ensure that evaluations are completed in advance to make sure the placement is a good fit for both the host home and youth. We are here to help you along the way.

Our program is always looking for hosts to provide housing. Hosts are responsible for providing a room, food and mentorship for a period of up to 18 months.
​
Hosting is a great way to make a difference in the life of young adult as well as get connected to the community you live in. Hosts receive one-on-one support from the program throughout the time they are involved, as well as a bi-weekly stipend.
