YOUTH OUTREACH SPECIALIST
The Youth Outreach Specialist’s primary responsibility is to provide direct services to eligible youth and families in: Wexford & Missaukee Counties. Services include: crisis intervention, information and referrals, temporary shelter, short term solution focused sessions, and prevention work. Most of their work will be conducted outside of the traditional office setting and will take place in schools, individual’s homes and various other places in the community.

Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related human services field. Two years experience in a human service field is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem solving skills with basic knowledge of family dynamics, will possess a commitment to assisting at-risk youth, be highly reliable and responsible, able to maintain sound judgement and able to work independently. They will possess a broad knowledge of community resources, a willingness to effectively lead groups and will conduct oneself in a professional manner.
